How to print out your favourite books in Photoshop

Adobe Premiere Pro CC is the perfect choice for the creative types who prefer to print, but for anyone who’s interested in building your own copy of their favorite books in the comfort of their own home, here are 10 tips for making the most of Photoshop.

1.

Select your fonts and sizes.

When printing, it’s important to pick the right font and size for the books you’re printing.

You can use any font you like, but we prefer to pick a font with a good weight and a good readability.

If you want a bigger font, you can use a bigger size.

If your fonts aren’t big enough, you may need to increase the size of your font.

We suggest you select a font size of 500dpi or above.

You may also need to adjust the letter spacing on your fonts.2.

Pick a font.

Once you have the fonts selected, select them from the dropdown menu on the bottom of the window.

Select one or more font types from the menu at the top of the screen.

You should then be presented with a list of available fonts.

Pick one and save it as your main font.

3.

Create your font and name.

Create a new font by clicking on the new font icon on the toolbar at the bottom-right of the editor window.

Make sure the font size is at least 50dpi.

Add a lettering style and set the lettering color to a neutral, light or dark.

If necessary, add some type marks to the letterings.

For example, choose a black, italic or bold font, and set a color of light or black.4.

Add the text.

If the font you’re using already has a name, use that instead.

For more information on how to use a font name, see the Adobe Press Kit article Creating a Text File.5.

Choose a background image.

If using an image file, choose one that’s appropriate for the text you’re working on.

Select a font and save as a .png file.

This will save you a lot of time.

Click on the Save button in the top right corner of the page.

If this button is grayed out, try clicking on a different button on the page and clicking on another one to re-enable it.7.

Make your font available.

Once the font is saved, open it in Photoshop, and click on the Fonts button.

You’ll see a list in the upper-right corner of your screen.

If a font isn’t listed, click on it to make it available.8.

Create and save your book.

You now have a book.

Click the Save as button on your book and you’ll be presented in the Preview section.

Choose your book as your new home for your project.

Click Finish when finished to save your project to your printer.

You will need to update your font file and add a file name.9.

Add images to your book, or you can import your images from your computer.

You could use a PDF reader or download the image directly.

In the Preview window, choose the Image and Image Size option.10.

Save your book with a .jpg file.

Open your book in Adobe Illustrator and make sure the images are visible.

Click Save to save the book.
